The United States Postal Service (USPS) also provides us freedom of speech. Your mail is private.
The USPS is also it's own revenue/expenditure center not running at a deficit, independent from the rest of the Federal Budget. The Feds could take lessons from their own here.
If you want to site the Patriot Act, all I can say is my mail is not tampered with...and you can blame Al-kida. He wants to be president.
