I would, and I have, told others about Scott and our experience in working with him. Building a home can be one the most stressful things you undertake. I have friends that say they will never go through that experience again. We went into it with realistic expecations (yes, we knew there would be bumps along the way) but the communication and partnership to work things out together is what made all the difference. There is so much emotion involved in building your own custom home and so many decisions because you want it to be perfect. Scott is a great listener he understood what was most important to us then helped us build our dream home within a reasonable budget.

How would you describe Scott Flynn's Craftsmanship?:

This was one of the reasons we chose Scott. We went through all the houses he built that were available to look at and the consistant quality craftsmanship was impressive. We wanted the bungalow style look of the past with the Green aspects available today.

What is your favorite feature in your home?
|
Tough one to answer as its a tie: Love the location-we are on the Greenbelt Love the house-It is exactly what we wanted.

Why should Flynner Homes be recognized for Construction Excellence?
|
Construction Excellence? To me it implies someone that goes far above and beyond the expectation of what is acceptable. To be considered a good builder means you listen to what your client wants and you work together to accomplish it within an acceptable time frame and at an agreed price. Excellence implies that in addition to that you build to Energy Star standards, you use the best subs and your consistancy in quality is there day in and day out regardless of the economy and tempation to cut corners. A great example is the Hardy siding which is a supeior product that he uses. Excellent builders understand the importance of communication and attention to detail. Yes, we hit little bumps and expected that, but Scotts responsiveness was critical in allowing us to feel assured we did indeed select the right builder. To work together to see it come to fruition, and still have fun, enjoying the process, is excellence. It can be tricky to pull that off and Scott does it with style.

What element or feature do you feel adds the most value to your home?
|
Custom Energy Star Bungalow home on the Greenbelt adds a lot of vaule.

Is there a trade company or subcontractor you would recommend?
|
Sunrise Hardwood Floors were amazing to deal with and the product outstanding. Marty the siding guy was another favorite Paul Thaxton the framer was great as well.

Was this important to you? Please explain.:

Yes we really wanted Energy Star and we wanted a builder that also felt strongly about it.

Tell us about your community.:
|
Willowgreens. 6 custom homes on the Greenbelt...gotta love it! Close proximity to downtown and as an avid bike rider I love the location. We lived in subdivisions before where there was 5 other houses just like ours scattered throughout and we really wanted something different. 6 Flynner homes with the same quality yet all different is perfect.

Tell us about your realtor.:
|
We worked directly with Scott and for us that was best. I think it also helped our communication since we were doing the entire transaction just between us. I know that doesn't work for everyone but we were fortunate it worked out well for us.

|
