When Trey Langford first decided to start a website focused on new construction a lot of research went into trying to understand what someone using it might want. What Trey found was that no one wanted another site with names, numbers and links to more websites. What people really want is a resource that would actually help them without trying to sell them something. Additionally, the most important thing they wanted to know is "Who is the best?" This was the overwhelming theme from every focus group.
The Challenge. How do you decide who is the best? "The best, it turns out, is a relative term because there is room for everyone in the marketplace from the low cost leader to exclusive suppliers of high end products. So how do you compare and determine the best builder or supplier? At the end of the day all that really matters is if the company delivers what clients expect. If they do, they should be ommended. One important factor is consistency. Every business has had the client that could not be satisfied, for whatever reason. What we are looking for are companies that consistently deliver, That is true credibility and the more times a company can do that the more credible they become.
So, what started out as "BoiseConstructionResources.com" evolved into BuildingCredibility.com. What first started out as a Yellow Page idea evolved into a resource website including the most comprehensive list of new communities including location, lot sizes, starting home values and who the builders are. Community profiles include details about the community including homes for sale.
The website continued to evolve and added blogs, interactive maps, listings, and now we are launching a new feature "Construction Excellence." This will be the area's first referral netowork.
