Average Permit Value by Subdivision

The most recent study by BuildingCredibility.com researched Average Permit Value of subdivisions in Ada and Canyon County. The study included 6 months of permits from November 2006 to April 2007. The study determines the average permit value for each subdivision, with at least two permits and ranks them by value.

Average Permit Value is an average and is only "relative" to the cost and price of homes in the subdivision, as each individual permit value varies. Note: In one subdivision we found two permits that differed in value by over $108,000. Permit values are only an estimate of the cost of a home that the builder submits when applying for a permit. During construction a builder may incur unexpected costs or may upgrade amenities, increasing the cost to build. Average permit value is not necessarily related to the sales price. Permits do not include the cost of the lot or professional fees by the builder.

 

Ada County survey included over 1070 permits and 107 communities. The Average Permit Value during the designated time period was $248,823.

 

Canyon County included 722 permits and 33 communities. The Average Permit value during the designated time period was $170,697.
