Negotiate with the bank to get the best price

I count myself and many of the builders and clients that I represent fortunate that we have minimal inventory when things are not moving as quickly as they did in the past.  I have been fortunate to sell the majority of the inventory I had listed over the summer, however, there has been ONE home that I have had listed for just over a year...it is the thorn in my side as they say. 

BUT there is hope!  As of yesterday, after meeting with the builder and banker we were able to negotiate a new asking price so that the bank doesn't end up with the home (because they don't want it!) and the builder will be able to get the home sold!

Buyers!  This is why so many Realtors are trying to tell you that there are some fantastic deals out there!  The banks are cutting their losses and selling homes well below market rate.  If you are looking to buy, many Realtors can assist you in finding homes that are in these situations.

"Below market rate" ....Market rate is what people will pay. I think you should clarify that banks are now willing to SELL at market rate rather than keeping their wishing price out there!

Good Point. Market rate is a moving target though cluttered by media hype, seller and buyer motivations and other people telling the buyer or seller what to do.

The time to buy is now!The market rate is below builder cost in a lot of instances. Builders are ready to deal, sellers are ready to deal, are you ready for a deal?
