the ice cycles are melting now, but oh the tales they tell of heat loss to the attic either through penetrations in the ceiling that need to be air sealed, or ducts in the attic that are leaking, or my bet combination of both...they are so pretty, so what is the problem??

maybe not the right time of the year, but the articles in the Idaho Statesman on Nov 8th and 13th were good articles about how beneficial this can be. Mark Hixson (builder) designed and installed the system and On Point LLC www.onpointadvantage.com did the LEED H certification of the home. More and more homeowners are asking about harvesting

we got a call the other day from a gentleman in the valley that had a fear that his house was very leaky. This house was new, within the last year, and a very nice home. we tested the home and found out the infiltration rate was over three times what we would consider allowable!!!! why???

Technology advancements have made huge studies in energy efficiency. one of those innovations is the Heat pump water heater. A company out of Australia was one of the first I know to introduce these innovative water heaters. Now there is a add on feature....

recently I had a client call me that was having trouble with his painter finding a solution for low VOC lacquer to apply to natural wood in a home. the painter was quoting high costs and having to buy huge volumes of product because of availability-here the rest for the story.....
