Boise Real Estate, as Scott will tell you is about affordability and lifestyle. That is right, Boise real estate really is about lifestyle! Enjoying your home and designing it to actually  fit your life is Scott Flynn's goal.

Flynner Homes - The Way Homes Used to be Built!
A Flynner Home incorporates traditional craftsman style architecture, historical details and a sense of community into each home. We at Flynner Homes’ utilize sustainable materials and updated floor plans for a traditional feel, fitting right into today’s new urban neighborhoods.

Talk About Boise Real Estate Curb Appeal!
Flynner Homes’ meets the expectations of “True” craftsman style exterior details, which accentuate curb appeal and a timeless era. These exterior details can be seen in three unique ways:

  • 24 inch long eves, which protect the home from Mother Nature and enhance the architecture and form of the home.
  • A large covered porch, which conveys a community atmosphere and invites you to sit and relax.
  • The face of the garage sits back off the front of the home placing the emphasis back on the architecture of the home, not the garage.

Specializing in “Arts & Crafts” Interiors!
You will notice immediately after walking into a Flynner Home the quality workmanship and handcrafted beauty of extensive millwork and decor. Stylish colors hit you instantly as spacious rooms glow in rare earth tones. Rich wood floors are plentiful. Beadboard wainscoting, fully wrapped windows and custom built-ins can be found throughout. Other details include granite countertops, slate backsplashes, tile floors, shaker cabinets and Tiffany lighting. Flynner Homes’ carries the Energy Star symbol, which adds a sense of comfort and peace of mind knowing your home is well constructed and well insulated.

Be Pleasantly Surprised!
So, you have driven by a Flynner Home. Wonder what’s inside?

  • Exterior elements of a Flynner Home move inside, bringing the outside in, completing the home in a virtual ebb and flow.
  • Arts and crafts entry ways are standard and garnish a Flynner Home with extensive hand- crafted finish work and designed for that particular room.
  • Fixtures and appliances are hand picked according to a the motif of the home and adds to the beauty and fulfillment you will feel when you walk into a Flynner Home.

It just feels right!
The quality and dependability of materials used on the outside of a Flynner Home are also on the inside. By concentrating on value instead of production, our homes are unique, aesthetically pleasing and makes an owner proud to have went with a Flynner Home for their Boise real estate needs.

Hand-Built Value
Knowing what to look for in a new home is difficult, at best, to grasp. Having it handing to you in every aspect, is unexpected. A Flynner Home will surprise you, will make you feel at home, will make you feel at peace and will satisfy you for years to come. Simply concentrating on design is not enough.

A Flynner Home needs to have a theme, a sense that every little detail fits and comes together as one and a feeling that nothing is out of place. A Flynner Home is not on a tight schedule, competing with the dozen per month builders. We don’t rush quality, and that adds value. By taking the time to use finish carpentry instead of store bought, and mill work instead of style numbers from a catalog, you will actually see the heart and soul put into each project every time, in every home.

We are not striving to be a big builder, simply a great builder.

Certified Green Homes
Main / Building Value into Boise Real Estate

Certified green homes use a holistic approach to the construction process. Here are the 7 guiding principles of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Green Home Program.

To truly call yourself a “green” builder you must be constructing green certified homes under a national or local green building program, which are certified by a credited third party verifier. There are about 28 green home programs throughout the country with LEED and NAHB Green Model Home Program being the most recognized.

NAHB’s National Green Home program incorporates 7 areas of environmental concern, known as Guiding Principles, into each home. Under these 7 Guideline Principals are a variety of distinct line items that a builder can choose from in creating a green home.

The 7 Guideline Principals are:

  1. Lot Design, Preparation, and Development – Resource-efficient design and development practices help reduce the environment impacts and improve the energy performance of new housing.
  2. Resource Efficiency – Creating resource efficient designs and using resource efficient materials can maximize function while optimizing the use of natural resources.
  3. Energy Efficiency - This is a “whole systems” approach, which incorporates, HVAC systems, foundations, insulation, window, appliances, duct sealing; and much much more.
  4. Water Efficiency – Green homes focus on water conservation both indoors and out.
  5. Indoor Environmental Quality – Green homes reduce the amount of indoor toxins buy eliminating the materials that off-gas harmful contaminants.
  6. Operation Maintenance and Homeowner Education – Improper or inadequate maintenance can defeat the builder’s best efforts to create a resource efficient home.
  7. Global Impact – This mainly focuses on the eliminating volatile organic carbons (VOCs) found in paints, caulks and adhesives.
Flynner Homes is currently in the process of building NAHB green certified homes. For more information regarding how you could build a green certified home with Flynner Homes please feel free to call me direct at 208-867-4587 or visit us a www.flynnerhomes.com
