The average consumer need only to plant trees, and watch them grow. What fun, for the whole family! Trees clean the air naturally by thriving on CO2.
Small businesses? Find a carbon credit dealer that plants trees.
Commerce? Let the USGBC or some other non-profit act as the clearing house for weighing in. "Carbon credits create a market for reducing greenhouse emissions by giving a monetary value to the cost of polluting the air. Emissions become an internal cost of doing business and are visible on the balance sheet alongside raw materials and other liabilities or assets."
Just beware, there are preditors in every sector of the economy right now. Planting trees is the only answer! And you can Do it Yourself!
