Replace a few incandescent light bulbs with compact flourescents.

Replace a few regular on off light switches with dimmers.

If you don't live in an Energy Star home, contact a local Home Performance Specialist like On Point Advantage LLC and have a home energy audit performed. Then implement some of the recommendations.

Urban Forestry may seem like an oxymoron, but it's not. Planting street trees helps with heat island effect, caused by all the roof tops and asphalt.
