Most consumers believe that the Builders profit is much higher than it really is. Every year the National Association of Home Builders publishes The Cost of Doing Business Study The study is based on the results of a financial survey conducted by the National Association of Home Builders and provides a rare glimpse at profitability, cost of sales, and expenses from hundreds of home builders across the country. Just how profitable were the builders surveyed?

There are some really great technologies out there on water heaters these days, and one complaint that I have is that the new water heaters do no last. One reason is that people don't maintain them. Do you know you should flush the water heater every year? how many of us really do it? Still we see allot of water heaters with only 6 year warranties. Are there better options out there?

As we continue to try to improve the site, we changed the maps so they are more user friendly, especially for those who are from outside of Treasure Valley. It does add another layer of informatin but it should help visitors get to the information they are seeking better.

This is the second article in a four part series on credit scoring. Most consumers know that if they pay their bills on time, then that is good for their credit score. What most consumers DO NOT know is that paying bills on time accounts for ONLY 35% of their entire credit score! Where does the rest of your credit score come from?

Your new home is probably the biggest purchase you will ever make. How do you go about choosing the right Builder to turn your dream into your reality and prevent your dream from becoming a nightmare?

No, we are not talking about Brangelina. We are talking about your Digital Lifestyle and Home Entertainment. These are two words you certainly do not want to hear when you have been involved in a botched or unresolved audio/video solution.

I am seeing quite a few basements being added or expanded on older homes, so what should we be concerned about for durability? Should we insulate? should we have drainage? what about the mechanical equipment and air leakage? Vapor barrier?

Beautiful city views from the rim lots. Lovely community for all demographics. HOA is working on applying for permits to build a community pool. Very high end quality and finishes - with very affordable pricing!

FHASecure expands the number of borrowers eligible for FHA- guaranteed loans to include homeowners in default. FHA borrowers take out loans from about 8,500 qualified lenders, paying an added insurance premium. Their monthly payments are guaranteed by the Federal Housing Administration, which covers defaults from the pool of insurance payments, using no taxpayer money. In addition to not missing any payments before their mortgages reset and having at least 3 percent equity in their homes, eligible borrowers must have a job and the income to cover the payments, said Steve O'Halloran, spokesman for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, which oversees the FHA.

We are both exhausted but it will all be worth it and we are proud to say that we put that siding up, painted it all, built the deck, installed the flooringthe list goes on and on. They dont call it Sweat Equity for nothing. -Also check out my helpful painting tips
