Progressive Realty Corporation is finally approved by all entities and open for business to serve your real estate needs. It has been a hectic year so far for me since I finally committed back in December of 2007 to open my own real estate agency!
When I had originally passed my broker's license requirements over 10 years ago, I did it just for the information and never activated the license so I had to retake all four of the Broker's classes (Broker Management, Finance, Law and Valuation & Analysis) then pass the State and National Exams again.
I really had to stick my nose to the grindstone to accomplish all of that in the first quarter of 2008 while still attending to my clients and my positions within the Ada County & Idaho Association of Realtors and as Chair of the New Technology Committee for the Intermountain MLS again this year.
Also, I had to make time to establish my new company, set up the trust account and bank account, register with the Secretary of State, design my logo, think up a slogan, set up my online transaction management platform, select my new phone system, etc.
The rest of the year, I can concentrate back on what I have been doing for the past 17 years and that is marketing and closing real estate transactions and hiring/training agents.
One thing that will really set my new company apart is that is for the most part a virtual real estate company. So many agents work out of their home office now with todays technology that leasing space is no longer relevant for a technology based company. I will have my new home communities and models to use as offices, I will be leasing executive suites throughout the valley for my agents to use to meet their clients, but the thrust is WEB based nearly paperless transactions from the accounting all the way through closings. My commission plan for my agents even provides incentives for years of real estate experience, real estate designations, and civic / community involvement and leadership.
